PUQ Press was founded in Delft, the Netherlands, in 2011, when engineer Laurens Pluimers built what the company calls the world's first precision coffee tamper — designed to solve a barista's repetitive strain injury as much as a consistency problem. The Puqpress Mini brings the same auto-tamping technology as PUQ's commercial range into a smaller, home-bar-sized unit.
