AeroPress began in 1984 as Aerobie, Inc., founded by Stanford engineering lecturer Alan Adler — the same inventor behind the record-setting Aerobie flying ring. Adler turned his engineering mind to coffee in 2004, and the AeroPress launched in 2005 to become one of the most-loved manual brewers in the world.
An unbranded alternative to AeroPress's own paper filters, cut to the same size and doing the same job — filtering out grounds without adding flavour of its own. They fit the AeroPress Original, Clear and Go.
At a fraction of the price of the branded filters, they're worth trying if you brew often and want to cut the ongoing cost. Just don't expect the same packaging or brand assurance that comes with the official AeroPress filters.
