This kit replaces the Rancilio Silvia's factory bi-metal thermostat — a component known for wide, inconsistent temperature swings — with a PID controller that holds your brew water within ±1° of your set point, in °C or °F. You'll see the boiler temperature directly on the controller and can adjust it to suit your beans, rather than living with whatever the stock thermostat gives you. Every button on the Silvia keeps working exactly as before, and the installation is fully reversible.
The Pre-infusion White version adds control over pre-infusion timing on top of temperature.
