The Claris Blue Extension is a small fitting piece that lets a CLARIS Blue filter cartridge sit correctly in the water tank of machines with a taller or differently shaped tank. Without it, the CLARIS Blue filter won't seat properly on the GIGA 5.
It's required specifically for the Jura GIGA 5 — if you're filtering water on a GIGA 5 with a CLARIS Blue cartridge, you'll need this extension alongside it.
