About the Brand
Eureka has been designing and building coffee grinders in Florence, Italy since 1920, founded by Aurelio Conti. More than a century on, the company is still based in Sesto Fiorentino and hand-assembles its grinders in the same Florentine factory, having grown into one of the most recognised names in espresso grinding worldwide — trusted by cafés and roasters for pairing precise Italian engineering with genuine artisanal craft.
The Product
The Eureka Mignon XL 65 Espresso Grinder scales the Mignon platform up to a 65mm burr set, built around Eureka's ELR System for low retention and dose-to-dose consistency of around ±0.2g. It's aimed at home baristas and light-commercial users who've outgrown a smaller burr set but still want the compact Mignon footprint and sound-insulated case. This is the Mignon line stepped up in output, without stepping up in size.
Key Features
65mm Flat Hardened Steel Burrs (Higher-Volume Grinding)
Larger 65mm burrs grind at 2.3–2.8g/s, giving you faster throughput than the smaller Mignon models without changing the machine's compact footprint.
ELR System (Low Retention, ±0.2g Consistency)
Eureka's ELR System is engineered to leave minimal coffee behind in the grinding chamber, keeping dose-to-dose variation to around ±0.2g.
Time-Based & Manual Dosing (Two Ways to Dose)
Set a repeatable timed dose, or switch to manual and dose by pushing the portafilter into the fork — both modes are built in.
Sound-Insulated Aluminium Body (Quiet Operation)
An insulated aluminium casing keeps operating noise down, so the bigger burr set doesn't mean a louder morning routine.
Stepless Micrometric Adjustment (Precise Dial-In)
Eureka's patented stepless system lets you fine-tune grind size in small increments rather than fixed steps.
Dose Counter (Maintenance Tracking)
A built-in counter tracks doses ground, helping you time burr servicing around actual use rather than guesswork.
Mignon Mat Kit Tamping Station (Included)
A tamping station ships with the grinder, giving you a dedicated surface to tamp and prep without extra counter clutter.
Who It's Built For
You're grinding enough volume — for your household, a home café setup, or a small office — that a 55mm burr set feels like it's working overtime. The Mignon XL 65 gives you a larger burr set and Eureka's low-retention ELR System while keeping the same compact, quiet Mignon body. It's built for the step up in output you need, without the step up in footprint you don't — more grind, same counter space.

Summary
The Eureka Mignon XL 65 takes the Mignon formula and scales the burrs up, so higher volume doesn't mean sacrificing the low-retention consistency the range is known for. If you've outgrown a smaller home grinder but don't want a commercial-sized footprint, this is the natural next step.
