The Company

Conti was founded in Paris in 1950 by M. Siksik, and moved its headquarters to Monaco in 1956, where it remains today, overlooking the Port de Fontvieille. An early adopter of volumetric technology in the 1970s, Conti has since tripled its production volume to become a recognised competitor in the global espresso machine business.

The Product

The MC Ultima rebuilds Conti's Monte Carlo platform around a footprint reduced by nearly 30%, using sustainable, recyclable metals — a genuine engineering achievement, not just a marketing line, since cutting size on a commercial machine usually means cutting boiler capacity or component quality along with it. Here it doesn't: the redefined internal layout that made the smaller footprint possible also simplifies maintenance access, meaning a technician spends less time getting to the part that needs attention and your machine spends less time out of service.

The full-colour TFT touch display and multi-page recipe book turn what used to be tribal knowledge — 'Sarah knows how Dave likes his flat whites dialled in' — into something the whole team can access and repeat exactly. The 'Infinite Actuate' steam lever is worth calling out specifically: it gives genuinely precise, variable control over steam flow rather than a blunt on/off, which matters enormously once oat, soy, and almond milk are a meaningful share of your drink orders — those milks scorch and split far more easily than dairy, and fine steam control is the difference between a silky oat flat white and a customer complaint. A 42% larger cup warmer cuts down on cup stacking (and the breakages that come with it), and the customisable standby display means the machine can show your logo rather than a generic manufacturer screen when it's idle.

Smaller footprint, sharper control — the MC Ultima is Conti's flagship rebuilt for the counters of today's specialty coffee houses.

Who It's Built For

For high-end coffee establishments running serious daily volume — 150-plus coffees a day and up — where recipe consistency across a full barista team isn't optional, and where a meaningful share of orders are alt-milk drinks that punish imprecise steam control. It's built for an operator who thinks about the machine as part of the brand experience, not just the equipment: the standby branding, the extensive colour and finish customisation (Graphite Black, Papyrus White, Grey Aluminium, or fully bespoke RAL powder coating and wooden accents) exist specifically so the machine matches a considered interior rather than looking like an off-the-shelf commercial unit dropped into a designed space.

It also suits a multi-site operator or a specialty coffee house planning for growth — the recipe book and smaller footprint make it easier to maintain consistency and serviceability as volume climbs, rather than a machine you outgrow the moment business picks up.
