About La Marzocco
La Marzocco was founded in Florence in 1927, and by 1939 had developed and patented the first coffee machine with a horizontal boiler — a design that became the industry standard still in use today. Nearly a century on, La Marzocco remains an artisan manufacturer, pairing that heritage with genuine technological advancement rather than resting on its history.
The Product
The Leva X reinvents the classic lever machine for the modern café — a lower-profile, ergonomic redesign that turns lever espresso into a genuine centrepiece for customer engagement, not just a nostalgic throwback. It's built to encourage barista experimentation and coffee conversation across the counter, while still delivering the world-class extraction La Marzocco is known for.
What makes the Leva X more than a design exercise is the control it hands the barista: pre-infusion pressure, shot volume, and extraction pressure can all be adjusted on each individual group. An innovative PID temperature control system dramatically improves thermal stability over a traditional lever machine — historically one of the format's weaknesses — and digital displays show real-time extraction pressure on the puck, pre-infusion and extraction time, and the full pressure curve of the shot as it happens.
About the Leva Range
The Leva X is the top of La Marzocco's lever-machine range, distinguished from the Leva S by its independent boiler system — each group gets its own dedicated boiler rather than sharing one across the machine. If the full Leva X feature set is more than your operation needs, the Leva S delivers the same lever mechanics and pressure-profiling control at a lower entry point.
Key Features
Independent boiler per group — The defining upgrade over the Leva S, giving each group head its own dedicated thermal management.
Unrivalled manual control — Adjust pre-infusion pressure, shot volume, and extraction pressure on each group independently.
Real-time pressure curve display — Digital screens show the full extraction pressure curve as the shot pulls, not just a final readout.
PID temperature stability — Solves the thermal consistency challenge that traditional lever machines have always struggled with.
Choosing Between Versions
Available in 1, 2, and 3 Group configurations. The 1 Group works as a striking centrepiece for a smaller specialty bar; 2 and 3 Group scale up for cafés that want the Leva experience across a full service line. If independent per-group boilers and the full pressure-profiling suite aren't essential, the Leva S offers the same lever mechanics for meaningfully less.
Why Choose This Product
The Leva X is for the café that wants its espresso bar to be a genuine talking point — a machine baristas actively engage with and customers actively notice — without sacrificing the extraction quality and thermal stability of La Marzocco's best commercial technology. It rewards operators who see the bar as part of the customer experience, not just infrastructure behind the counter.

Buying and Installation Notes
Confirm your available phase and voltage supply before ordering — the Leva X supports several configurations, so matching your site's electrical setup matters. Given its weight, ensure adequate counter support and clearance, and plan for direct plumbing given its commercial duty cycle.
