The Company
La Marzocco was founded in Florence, Italy, in 1927. In 1939, it was La Marzocco that developed and patented the first espresso machine with a horizontal boiler — now the industry standard every modern machine is built around. Today, La Marzocco remains an artisan company, still hand-assembling machines while pushing genuine advancements in equipment technology.
The Product
The Linea Micra is a scaled-down Linea Classic S — the same dual-boiler, PID-controlled temperature philosophy behind La Marzocco's flagship commercial machine, built into a genuinely compact 34 × 29 × 39cm footprint. It's designed for fast, simple setup: quick heat-up, an internal reservoir or optional plumbing kit depending on your kitchen, and all the essential tools already included, so dialling in your morning routine doesn't require a steep learning curve.
A classic paddle group actuator and insulated steam wand carry over the tactile, hands-on feel serious espresso enthusiasts expect from La Marzocco, while barista lights and a magnetic pop-out drip tray handle the small daily details that make the difference between a machine you enjoy using and one you tolerate. It ships with a commercial 58mm stainless steel portafilter, spare single spout, three filter baskets, a blank basket for back-flushing, a steaming pitcher, tamper, water test kit, and cleaning powder — everything needed to start brewing seriously from day one, and it's available in a range of colours to match your kitchen.
Flagship dual-boiler engineering, scaled to fit a real kitchen counter — the Micra doesn't ask you to compromise to get the La Marzocco name.
Who It's Built For
For the home enthusiast who wants an authentic entry into La Marzocco's dual-boiler world without the size or price of the brand's larger machines — someone starting seriously into espresso, or upgrading from a basic machine, who wants dual boilers and PID control from day one rather than working up to it.
Pair it with La Marzocco's own Pico grinder for a complete, matched home setup — the Micra is built to be the centrepiece of a kitchen, not just tucked in a corner.
