About the Brand
AeroPress began life in 1984 as Aerobie, Inc., founded by retired Stanford engineering lecturer and prolific inventor Alan Adler — the same engineer behind the Aerobie flying ring, which still holds the Guinness World Record for farthest thrown object.
In 2005, after a year spent chasing one goal — a genuinely superior cup of coffee — Adler launched the AeroPress. It's now sold in over 80 countries and sits at the centre of the World AeroPress Championship, where brewers from more than 60 countries compete on their own recipes.
Every AeroPress is still designed in Silicon Valley and manufactured in the USA, built on the same immersion-and-pressure principle that made the original a category of its own.

The AeroPress XL uses the same patented immersion-and-pressure brewing as the Original, scaled up to a 591ml (20 oz) Tritan™ carafe — enough for two full cups from a single brew, instead of pressing twice. It solves the one real limitation of the standard AeroPress: brewing for more than one person at a time.
