About Astoria
Astoria was founded in 1969 by a group of artisans near Treviso, Italy, and has grown into one of the largest espresso machine manufacturers in the world, with machines working in more than 150 countries. Known for dependable, efficient commercial machines, Astoria has more recently pushed into the top tier of specialty equipment — and the Tempesta is the clearest proof of that ambition.
The Product
The Astoria Tempesta is a multi-boiler commercial machine built for baristas who want full control over every extraction. Each group has its own 1.2L brew boiler and its own adjustable group heater, backed by an insulated 8.5L steam boiler — so temperature is managed independently at every station.
Every group has a 5" capacitive touchscreen with live pressure and flow graphs as the shot runs, six programmable volumetric doses and adjustable pre-infusion per dose. Barista Attitude cool-touch steam wands, Astoria's Super Dry steam system and adjustable LED work lights round out a machine that feels as considered behind the bar as it looks in front of it. Intelligent energy management puts groups into standby when trade slows and powers them back up as it picks up.
Key Features
Multi-Boiler with Group Heaters (Independent Temperature Control)
Separate 1.2L brew boilers and adjustable group heaters on each group let you run different coffees at different temperatures, with exceptional shot-to-shot stability.
5" Touchscreen per Group with Live Graphs (Real-Time Feedback)
Watch pressure and flow plotted live during every shot, and adjust recipes right at the group.
Six Volumetric Doses with Pre-Infusion (Consistent Recipes)
Program up to six doses per group, each with its own pre-infusion of up to 10 seconds.
Super Dry Steam and Barista Attitude Wands (Better Milk, Safer Hands)
A secondary heating stage removes condensation for dry steam from the first second, and the cantilevered cool-touch wands swing back over the drip tray when not in use.
Smart Energy Management (Lower Running Costs)
Automatic standby, night-time energy saving and per-group standby during quiet periods cut power use significantly over a full trading week.
Adjustable LED Work Lights and Raised Groups (Ergonomics)
Dimmable lighting over the work area and raised groups make it easier to see your extraction and fit taller cups.
Who It's Built For
The Tempesta is for flagship specialty cafés, roasteries with a showcase bar, and high-end hospitality venues where the espresso machine is part of the brand. If your team competes, trains other baristas, or rotates single-origin espressos, the per-group control and live extraction data give them tools that a standard heat exchanger machine simply can't.
It's equally suited to high-volume sites — the 8.5L steam boiler and dual wands keep milk service moving through a full morning rush.
Buying and Installation Notes
The Tempesta must be plumbed into mains water with drainage and needs a dedicated electrical supply installed by a qualified electrician (maximum absorbed power around 4.8–5.2kW; three-phase versions are available). Inline water filtration is essential. At around 85kg and just over a metre wide, check your counter depth and access before delivery. Contact us to plan installation.
