Blume builds its capsule coffee around one idea — that a capsule should brew like proper espresso. Its signature 2-Step system borrows from specialty espresso machines, gently pre-infusing the coffee before applying full pressure, for better extraction than a standard one-step capsule machine.
The Blume Duet combines a 2-Step capsule espresso machine and an instant hot water function in one slim unit. Brew a ristretto, espresso or lungo from Nespresso-compatible capsules, then switch to hot water for an americano, tea or a second drink — without a separate kettle taking up counter space.
Pre-infusion is the difference. By wetting the coffee before the high-pressure stage, the Duet extracts more evenly — richer crema, more sweetness and less of the harsh bitterness typical of capsule coffee.
Choose 0, 1.5 or 3 seconds of pre-infusion before extraction — longer blooms tend to suit lighter roasts.
