About the Brand

ECM's story began in 1996, when founder Wolfgang Hauck, alongside then-partner ECM S.p.A of Italy, set out to build heat exchanger espresso machines for the upscale household. Hauck brought decades of experience as an exclusive importer for Italian brands including Gaggia, Cimbali, Pavoni and Vibiemme, and used that expertise to design his own machines from tried-and-tested professional-grade components. The first ECM Technika launched that year and remains popular today — the foundation of a brand still built on handcrafted, durable espresso equipment out of Germany.
