Faema opened their doors in 1945, and have been producing coffee equipment since then. In 1961 Faema launches the E61, the first machine to use a volumetric pump to push the water onto the coffee cake at a pressure of 9 atmospheres needed to produce the espresso, a process that replaces the use of the lever.
They are part of Gruppo Cimbali, one of the leading manufacturers of professional machines for making coffee and milk-based drinks, as well as coffee shop equipment.
About the Groundbreaker
To guarantee the best quality in the cup and the greatest possible exibility, Faema has created Groundbreaker, which can interface with the most advanced Faema machines. It most naturally combines with the E71.
The 4.3” touchscreen display is easy to use and completely customizable: you can adjust Groundbreaker’s grinders to achieve the desired result every time. Baristas can choose and configure the programs thanks to a selection of customized settings. The grinder’s motor is equipped with an inverter with low energy expenditure, which guarantees constant performance over time even after intensive use. With Groundbreaker, you can quickly access the components of the product to check its status, make the appropriate adjustments and implement the cleaning cycle in total safety and with simple operations performed by a specialized technician.
Barista Drive System (BDS)
An integrated system that helps you by maintaining a constant dialogue between the machine and the grinder doser. The grinder automatically adjusts its grind to courser or finer, when connected to a Faema machine.
