About the Brand
Technivorm was founded in 1964 by Gerard Smit, a Dutch engineer who built the company on a simple philosophy — life is too short to drink bad coffee. In 1968 he designed the first Moccamaster, and it has been hand-assembled at the Technivorm factory in the Netherlands ever since, with every brewer tested against strict internal standards before it leaves the floor.
