About the Brand
Bentwood is a Swiss grinder maker based in Cham, built around one idea: burr geometry that genuinely changes what's in the cup. Designed in Germany and produced in Switzerland and Italy, Bentwood grinders have been developed and tested with Q-Graders and competition baristas from around the world, and the brand has served as the official grinder for major barista and brewers cup events.
The Product
The Bentwood H75 Grind-by-weight Commercial Espresso Grinder is Bentwood's flagship, and its first move into true grind-by-weight dosing. A 2.4" sapphire glass display and built-in scale drive weight-based dosing to 0.1g accuracy, while a servomotor handles grind adjustment automatically rather than by hand. The 75mm "blind" burrs are angled for low retention and spin at 1,350 RPM off a 660W motor, pushing espresso grind speed to roughly 7g/s — fast enough that precision doesn't cost you queue time. This is where automated dosing meets café-floor speed.
75mm "Blind" Burrs (Low Retention, High Speed)
Custom flat burrs angled specifically to reduce retention, spinning at 1,350 RPM off a 660W motor for roughly 7g/s in the espresso range.
Grind-by-Weight Dosing (0.1g Accuracy)
A built-in scale and 2.4" sapphire glass display drive weight-based dosing, adjusted automatically by an internal servomotor instead of a manual collar.
Automatic Servo Grind Adjustment (No Manual Collar)
Grind size can be reduced without grinding out in between, letting you move between settings quickly without wasting beans or fiddling with a dial.
Three Saved Recipes (Consistent Across Shifts)
Store combinations of grind size and weight or time, so switching between blends or baristas doesn't mean re-dialling from scratch.
Automatic Portafilter Detection (Faster Workflow)
Grinding starts as soon as the portafilter is detected, cutting a step out of every order during a busy service.
Built-in WiFi (Remote Diagnostics)
Technicians can pull usage and maintenance data remotely — useful for multi-site operators who don't want to visit every machine in person.
Who It's Built For
You're running a high-volume bar, or you're a precision-focused home barista who wants grind-by-weight accuracy without the wait. You'd rather the machine remembered three dial-in recipes than rely on staff resetting one by hand, and you don't want to trade dosing accuracy for queue time. The H75 gives you both — precision that doesn't slow you down.
