About Macap
Since 1930, Macap has manufactured coffee grinders from a family workshop in the Venetian hinterland — three generations on, the Petiziol family still runs the company. Macap pioneered the first horizontal coffee dispenser and holds patents on dynamometric tamper technology, and today its grinders are exported to more than 70 countries. That combination of heritage and continued innovation is what the Leo 55 range is built on.
The Product
The Macap LEO 55 Touch Espresso Grinder tops the Leo 55 range: the same 55mm flat burr platform as the Easy and Essential, but with a 390W motor and a 2.4-inch touchscreen that stores four programmable doses. It's built for anyone who wants the flat-burr quality of the range plus digital repeatability, without moving up to a full commercial grinder. This is Macap's Leo 55 platform at its most complete.
Key Features
55mm Flat Steel Burrs (Espresso-Grade Consistency)
The Touch shares its 55mm flat steel burr set with the rest of the Leo 55 line, giving you the same uniform particle distribution and clean extraction the platform is known for.
2.4" Touchscreen Display (Set It Once, Repeat It Daily)
A colour touchscreen replaces the Essential's dial-only interface, putting dose settings, usage counts and grind parameters in clear view.
Four Programmable Doses (Consistency On Demand)
Save up to four dose presets and switch between them at a tap — one grinder covering a single, a double, and whatever else your bar pours.
Stepless Micrometric Adjustment (Fine Grind Control)
Burr distance adjusts on a stepless, micrometric scale, so dialling in a new bag of beans is a small turn, not a full recalibration.
390W Motor (Faster Throughput)
A 390W motor pushes output to 1.8–2.2 g/s, noticeably quicker than the Essential's 310W unit — useful when you're grinding back-to-back orders.
Silent System Technology (Quiet Operation)
The same Silent System damping used across the Leo 55 range keeps the Touch quiet enough for a home kitchen or a small, quiet café floor.
Adjustable Fork & Optional Diverter (Flexible Workflow)
Fork height adjusts to fit your portafilter, and an optional diverter routes grounds where you need them for a faster, cleaner dosing routine.
Who It's Built For
You want on-demand dosing and digital repeatability without stepping up to a full commercial grinder. The Touch is built for home baristas and small bar owners who need every dose to match the last, whether that's a training station, a boutique counter, or a serious home setup. Café-grade control, sized for where you actually pour — that's the Leo 55 Touch.
