About the Brand
Mazzer has built professional coffee grinders near Venice, Italy since 1948, when Luigi Mazzer turned a precision engineering workshop into a grinder and burr maker. It's still a family company and it still makes nothing else — only grinders and burrs, with every component in the grinding process designed and produced in-house. Mazzer exports to 100 countries, and you'll find its grinders working behind café counters on five continents.
The Product
The Mazzer Super Jolly G Electronic Grind by Weight Grinder is a 64mm flat-burr commercial espresso grinder with a professional load cell built in. It weighs each dose as it grinds and stops at your target, so nobody on your team has to weigh, top up or re-time a dose. This is the Super Jolly without the guesswork — and at 4 to 5.2 grams per second, without the wait.
About the Super Jolly Range
The Super Jolly name goes back to the 1971 Jolly and has been a café standard ever since. Mazzer showed the Super Jolly G at HostMilano in 2025 as the first grind-by-weight Super Jolly, built on the Super Jolly V Pro platform but with a new motor, grinding chamber and cooling system. Mazzer rates it at twice the speed of the V Pro.
Key Features
Built-In Load Cell (Grind by Weight)
The integrated scale reads to 0.01g and stops the burrs at your programmed weight. Change the grind setting and the dose stays on target, with no re-timing or reprogramming while you dial in.
Vibration Filtering Algorithm (Stable Dosing in Service)
Counter knocks, machine vibration and portafilter tapping can all throw off a sensitive scale. Mazzer's algorithm is built to filter them out, so your doses hold during a rush and not just on a quiet bar.
550W High-Torque Motor and Three-Segment Chamber (Speed)
A bespoke asynchronous motor and redesigned grinding chamber deliver 4 to 5.2g per second, which puts an 18g dose in the basket in under five seconds. The grinder keeps pace with your espresso machine instead of holding up the queue.
Double-Fan Cooling (Thermal Stability)
Two fans and a redesigned chamber manage heat as volume climbs. That protects your beans and keeps grind and dose consistent from the slow start of the morning through the peak.
205D Flat Burrs (Built for Milk-Based Menus)
The standard 64mm bearing steel burrs suit medium to dark roasts and give classic chocolatey cups with body that carries through milk. Serving mostly light roasts? Mazzer also makes an optional ZZ k206P set for light to medium roasts, rated for twice the lifespan of standard burrs — speak to us about availability.
Grind Flow Control (Cleaner Counter, Less Clumping)
The GFC system reduces the electrostatic charge that causes clumps and coffee dust on your tray and counter. You get Hybrid and Antidust dampers, so you can set it up to suit your coffee.
Place-and-Grind with Magnetic Dosing Cup (Hands-Free Workflow)
Grinding starts on its own when you seat the portafilter or dosing cup, leaving your hands free for the next drink. The magnetic stainless steel cup centres itself under the spout, holds up to 30g and fits 58mm portafilters.
Easy-Open Chamber and Memory Track Ring (Faster Maintenance)
The grinding chamber opens for cleaning without losing your grind setting, and the Memory Track ring lets you recalibrate the adjustment collar quickly. Firmware upgrades and optional IoT connectivity for remote monitoring are also available.
Choosing Between Versions
All three of these Mazzer grinders use 64mm flat burrs. The real decision is how you want to dose and how much you need to grind.

Who It's Built For
The Super Jolly G is built for medium-sized cafés where one grinder carries the house espresso all day. If you're losing coffee and time to weighing, topping up and re-timing, or your shots change depending on who's on bar, this takes the dose out of the equation.
It also makes life easier with a rotating team. A new barista gets the same dose as your most experienced one, and when a shot runs fast or slow, you know to look at the grind or the prep — not the dose. Roasters and multi-site owners supplying a consistent recipe across several bars will see the same benefit.
It isn't the right fit for every setup. At 63.5cm tall and 17.5kg, it's not a natural match for a coffee cart or trailer, and a home barista making a few coffees a day will be better served by something smaller, like the Mazzer Philos.

Buying and Installation Notes
Check your height first: at 63.5cm it won't fit under most low shelves or cabinets, and you need room above the hopper to refill it.
